Notice to Users: Court Fines and SMS Messages. Please be advised that you will never be notified of court fines, fees, or payment requests via SMS (text message). Official notifications regarding fines or court matters are provided only through authorized channels such as official letters, secure portals, or direct communication from the court. If you receive a text message claiming to be about court fines or requesting payment, do not respond or click any links. This may be a scam. Report suspicious messages to the court or your IT/security office. Your security and trust are important to us.

Be cautious of fraudulent calls or text messages purporting to be the Court. Please call (505) 841-8400 to verify any communication from the Court.

Accommodations Request

The Second Judicial District Court (“SJDC”) will make all reasonable accommodations and reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all of SJDC programs, services and activities.

General Request for Accommodation at the SJDC

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a service, program, or activity of the SJDC should contact the ADA Coordinator at 505-841-7425 or by email at ada.2nddistrictcourt@nmcourts.gov as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event. In addition to an email request, you may also submit the ADA Accommodations Request Form.

Requesting an Accommodation by a Party to a Case at SJDC

Counsel or self-represented litigants may notify the Clerk of the Court of the nature of the disability by submitting an ADA Accommodations Request Form at least five (5) business days before any hearing so appropriate accommodations may be made. You may also make a request through the ADA Coordinator at 505-841-7425 or by email at ada.2nddistrictcourt@nmcourts.gov.
